Louisiana News: New Orleans, CHARLES BROWN, Indictment Charges New Orleans Man with Violations of Federal Gun Control Act

New Orleans, La. – U.S. Attorney Peter G. Strasser announced that CHARLES BROWN, age 30, of New Orleans, was charged with one count of conspiring to make false statements in connection with the purchase of a firearm and one count of being felon in possession of a firearm.

According to the indictment, on or about July 27, 2018, CHARLES BROWN conspired with an individual to purchase a firearm by falsely representing the identity of the real purchaser of the firearm, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 371, 922(a)(6) and 924(a)(2).
