Missouri Senator Jamilah Nasheed Applauds Governor Parson for Signing House Bill 499, Senate Bill 1

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (STL.News) – Missouri State Senator Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, applauded Missouri Governor Parson for signing two pieces of legislation that she co-sponsored during the 2019 legislative session.

House Bill 499 creates several new highway designations, including naming a portion of I-70 in St. Louis from the Salisbury Street overpass to Goodfellow Blvd. overpass after former Sen. Paula Carter.

“Senator Paula Carter was a champion for physical and mental health services for African-Americans, minorities and the less fortunate,” said Sen.
