PHOENIX (STL.News) – In Arizona, approximately 132 people die every year from excessive heat. In Phoenix, the average temperature in July is 106 degrees. City officials refer to Code Red season as an “invisible, slow-moving crisis.” This extreme heat is particularly punishing for the more vulnerable, such as seniors, those with disabilities, and the homeless. In order to help the homeless in Phoenix survive the blistering summer heat, Stan Abraham and John Vitale are asking for your help in raising money to buy this overlooked segment of the population water.
