Huntington Ingalls Industries Successfully Completes Builder’s Trials for Amphibious Assault Ship Tripoli (LHA 7)

PASCAGOULA, MS (STL.News) – Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) announced today the successful completion of builder’s trials on the amphibious assault ship Tripoli (LHA 7).  The second ship in the America class spent four days at sea in the Gulf of Mexico, testing the ship’s main propulsion, combat and other systems before returning to HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division.
